Book cover

Sarah-Jane and Andrew, as sister and brother, have always had each other and have therefore been able to weather the difficulties of their lives. Tom, however, has carried guilt and anger ever since he found out about his wife's illness. He tries hard to shut it all away but, when he meets his new neighbour Sarah-Jane, life takes an unexpected turn and he has at last to face his emotions and start the road to forgiveness. As his new life unfolds, life deals unexpected twists and turns and another devasting blow.

Is Tom able to find a way through his pain and so hold his loved ones together...?

I really enjoyed your book. I very much related to the pain, guilt and forgiveness experienced by your wonderful characters. Even though I cried I also found the story uplifting and full of hope and love. In some ways cathartic. The characters felt very real to me and that was down to your writing, story telling and knowledge of the subject.

I loved the way the rabbit and marshmallows entwined through the story.

I give 5 stars to DO RABBITS EAT MARSHMALLOWS because I enjoyed the story, in spite of some tears. The characters are interesting people in a contemporary extended family. It is a heartwarming and uplifting story. I would certainly recommend giving it a read!

I took this book on holiday with me and was always eager to read it each day to find out what would happen next in the lives of all the different characters. The little details in the story brings the characters to life in a way that you feel part of their journey. Lots of highs and lows in a well written, emotional novel.

In a world of hatred and discord, it was lovely to read such a family orientated book. It was extremely moving, showing true family situations, warts and all, but with ultimate happiness.

I loved every chapter even though I shed a few tears.

Brilliantly written portraying real family life and the creation of life.

Well done the author.

About Me

I was born in Sheffield to Welsh parents and my childhood was spent in Yorkshire, Hertfordshire and South Wales. Having left school at 16, I worked as a Community Service Volunteer in three different residential settings, working with children and adults. I went on to train as a nursery nurse and worked as a staff nursery nurse in a deprived area of London. Following this, I emigrated to Canada where I worked as a nanny, travelling extensively in North America. After my return to the UK, I gained an MA (Ed) and became an adult educator and trainer. During this time I undertook counselling training and subsequently became a bereavement counsellor. I am a mother and grandmother and live in East Anglia with my husband.
